Ongoing Logo & Form Exploration
Trash Boy is a project that looks at litter as a readymade through the lens of an explorer. In this project I ran in different parts of LA and picked up litter with a GoPro attached to my head. I collected this trash and presented it as an art installation in a storage unit.
YYYY (Why?) is a project that questions how we live our lives and how that affects what we design/create. This project is about the process, not the outcome. It focusses on using recycled, second-hand, eco-friendly materials, and natural dyes. It pushes the boundaries of what some may consider traditional graphic design. Design is only limited to our imagination. This project is about reflecting on the type energy behind the work. Why is that important? As graphic designers we have the power to influence a large number of the population. Specifically, in order to persuade them to purchase things they may not necessarily need. We have a moral responsibility to ourselves, our children, & the planet to align our lives with what is called “right livelihood”.
